Ingredients

Scale

2 ¼ cups All-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup Granulated sugar
¾ cup Packed light brown sugar
2 Large eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips with a rubber spatula
  7. Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pa
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the center is set
  9. Let the bars cool completely in the pan before lifting out and cutting into squares

Notes

For best results, do not overbake the bars.

Allowing the bars to cool completely will help them set properly.
