Creamy Lemon Chicken is a comforting dish that blends tangy lemon with rich cream, resulting in tender chicken bathed in a velvety sauce, making it a family favorite.

4 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
2 tbsp Olive Oil
2 tbsp Butter
4-5 cloves Garlic, minced
1 large Shallot, finely minced
1 cup Chicken Broth
1/4 cup Fresh Lemon Juice
1 cup Heavy Cream
1 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
Salt, to taste
Black Pepper, to taste
Lemon Slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brow
  3. Remove the chicken and sauté the shallot in butter until softened, followed by the garlic
  4. Deglaze the pan with chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up browned bits. Simmer for 3-4 minutes
  5. Whisk together heavy cream and flour, then add to the pan, stirring until the sauce thickens
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and let it simmer in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes
  7. Stir in chopped parsley, adjust seasoning, and serve garnished with lemon slices

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.

Chicken thighs can be substituted for moister meat.
