½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Decorative Sprinkles, as desired

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips by hand
  7. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes
  8. Roll out the dough and cut heart shapes using a cookie cutter, transferring them to the prepared baking sheets

  11. Cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
