Honey Glazed Carrots (Easy Easter Side) are a delicious and simple dish that adds vibrant color and sweet flavor to your holiday table. Perfect for any festive meal, these carrots are coated in a rich glaze of honey and butter, making them a family favorite.

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs Carrots, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
1/4 cup Butter, unsalted
1/4 cup Honey, pure
1/4 cup Water
1/2 tsp Salt, or to taste
1/4 tsp Black Pepper, freshly ground
2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Carrots: Peel and slice the carrots into 1/2-inch thick rounds or sticks
  2. Sauté the Carrots: Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced carrots and sauté for 5-7 minutes until slightly tender-crisp
  3. Add Liquids and Seasonings: Pour in the water and honey. Add salt and black pepper, and stir to coat the carrots
  4. Simmer and Glaze: Bring to a gentle simmer, cover, and cook for 8-12 minutes until the carrots are fork-tender
  5. Reduce the Glaze: Remove the lid, increase the heat to medium-high, and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently until the glaze thickens
  6. Final Touches: Remove from heat, taste for seasoning, and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving

Notes

For a sweeter glaze, consider reducing the honey slightly or adding a tablespoon of maple syrup.

To add a touch of flavor, try infusing the butter with a garlic clove before adding the carrots.
