Hot Honey Salmon is a quick, flavorful weeknight meal that combines flaky salmon with a sweet and spicy hot honey glaze.

Ingredients

Scale

4 pieces Salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
¼ cup Hot Honey
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
½ teaspoon Smoked Paprika
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley or Cilantro (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels and place on a plate
  2. Drizzle the salmon fillets with olive oil and season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until hot
  4. Sear the salmon fillets skin-side down for 4-5 minutes until crispy, or for 3-4 minutes if skinless
  5. Flip the fillets and brush the top with hot honey immediately
  6. Cook for another 3-5 minutes until desired doneness is reached, aiming for an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C)
  7. Remove the salmon from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley or cilantro if desired

Notes

Ensure salmon is dry before cooking for optimal sear.

Adjust the heat level of hot honey according to taste.

Leftover salmon can be reheated gently to avoid drying out.
