Ingredients

Scale

1.5 pounds Large Shrimp (peeled, deveined, tails on or off)
½ cup Honey
2-3 tablespoons Sriracha (or your favorite hot sauce, adjust to taste)
3 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce (low sodium preferred)
1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
1 tablespoon Olive Oil (or other neutral oil)
2 Green Onions, sliced (for garnish)
1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds (for garnish)
Salt and Black Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp: Pat shrimp dry, season with salt and pepper, and set aside
  2. Whisk the Hot Honey Sauce: Combine honey, Sriracha, minced garlic, soy sauce, and rice vinegar in a bowl. In another small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in cold water, then add to the sauce later
  3. Cook the Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook seasoned shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside
  4. Simmer the Sauce: Reduce heat, pour the sauce into the skillet and simmer for 1-2 minutes
  5. Thicken the Sauce: Add cornstarch slurry to the simmering sauce, whisk until thickened
  6. Combine and Serve: Return shrimp to skillet, toss to coat in sauce, and warm through
  7. Garnish and Enjoy: Serve on a platter, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds

Notes

Use frozen shrimp if needed; ensure they are thawed and dry before cooking.

Adjust spice level by modifying the amount of hot sauce.
