Moist & Fudgy Chocolate Cake made with everyday ingredients, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 ¾ cups All-Purpose Flour
2 cups Granulated Sugar
¾ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1 ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
1 ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Salt
2 Large Eggs
1 cup Whole Milk
½ cup Vegetable Oil
2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1 cup Boiling Water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until combined
  4. Mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix
  5. Add boiling water to the batter and mix until smooth
  6. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clea
  7. Let cakes cool in pans for 10-15 minutes, then remove from pans and allow to cool completely on a wire rack
  8. Frost with your favorite frosting and enjoy

Notes

Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for best results.

Use hot coffee instead of boiling water for a richer chocolate flavor.
