1 bag Tortilla Chips (13-16 oz)
1 lb Ground Beef
1 packet Taco Seasoning (1 oz)
1/4 cup Water
1 can Black Beans (15 oz)
2 cups Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese (shredded)
1/4 cup Jalapeños (sliced)
1/2 cup Salsa
1/2 cup Sour Cream
2-3 Green Onions (chopped)
1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro (chopped, optional)
1 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water, simmering until the sauce thickens
  4. Layer half of the tortilla chips on the baking sheet, followed by half of the beef, black beans, and cheese
  5. Repeat layering with the remaining ingredients
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly
  7. Add fresh toppings like jalapeños, green onions, and cilantro before serving
  8. Serve immediately with salsa and sour cream
