2 Large eggs, room temperature

¼ cup Freeze-dried strawberries, crushed (optional)
About 36-40 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped
½ cup Granulated sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Workspace: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper
  2. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside
  3. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until light and fluffy
  4. Add Wet Ingredients: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and strawberry extracts, and food coloring if using
  5. Gradually Add Dry to Wet: Slowly add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined
  6. Chill (Optional): Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes
  7. Form the Cookies: Roll portions of dough into balls and coat in granulated sugar
  8. Bake the First Batch: Arrange the dough balls on prepared sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes
  9. Add the Kisses: Press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each warm cookie
  10. Cool Completely: Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack
