Ingredients

Scale

1 lb Pizza Dough
1 lb Cremini Mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
4-5 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
½ cup Heavy Cream
¼ cup Milk (whole or 2%)
2 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
½ cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
1 ½ cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded (low-moisture, part-skim)
1 tablespoon Fresh Thyme Leaves, chopped
¼ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Salt, to taste
Black Pepper, to taste
Fresh Parsley, for garnish, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or baking steel inside. Lightly flour your work surface and stretch or roll out your pizza dough to your desired thickness and shape
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Remove and set aside
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream and milk, stirring constantly until it thickens. Remove from heat and stir in softened cream cheese and ½ cup Parmesan cheese until smooth
  4. Spread the creamy white sauce over the pizza dough. Distribute the sautéed mushrooms over the sauce, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and thyme
  5. Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly
  6. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve

Notes

Pre-bake the pizza dough for extra crispiness before adding toppings.

Feel free to add extra garlic or cheese based on your preference.
