These Cheese Balls are incredibly easy to make and are a absolute crowd-pleaser. They have a perfectly golden, crunchy exterior and an impossibly soft, warm, and stretchy cheesy interior, making them suitable for any occasion.

Ingredients

8 ounces Cream Cheese (softened)
1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
1 large Egg
1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
3-4 cups Vegetable Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the cheese mixture for at least 30 minutes
  3. Prepare your breading station: In one dish, whisk the egg, and in another, place the panko breadcrumbs
  4. Scoop out portions of the cheese mixture and roll them into 1-inch cheese balls
  5. Dip each cheese ball into the egg, then roll in the panko breadcrumbs
  6. Chill the breaded Cheese Balls in the refrigerator for another 15-30 minutes
  7. Heat the vegetable oil in a pot to 350°F (175°C)
  8. Carefully fry a few Cheese Balls at a time for 2-3 minutes until golden brow
  9. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour and use gluten-free panko breadcrumbs.

These Cheese Balls can be prepared ahead of time and frozen for later use.
